GENERAL LABOR - FRUIT Harvest team & PROCESSING PLANT (silver creek/FREDONIA) 

Duties include but are not limited to:
- guiding machine operators while dumping machine picked grapes onto a semi trailer
- assisting forklift operators during the unloading of tote bins from trucks
- assisting in cleaning, sanitation, repairs and maintenance of various food processing plant machines and work areas.
- must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds and perform various aspects of in-door and out-door manual labor in a fast-paced atmosphere in all types of conditions
- work will be scheduled and assigned in shifts of up to 12 hours per over a 24 hour period

Due to the nature of harvest season, general labor employees must have the emotional and physical endurance necessary to work long hours in various outdoor and in-door conditions regardless of the weather. 

All employees are subject to drug and alcohol testing.

fork lift operators (grape processing)

Duties include but are not limited to:
- conducting daily safety and mechanical operational checks of each forklift operated
- responsible for safe and efficient operation of each forklift operated
- work will be performed in 12 hour work shifts outside in all weather conditions

- ability to notice and report safety and mechanical concerns during forklift operation
- must be able to re-fuel each forklift by lifting and positioning a full propane gas container on the forklift (approx. 50 pounds)

- assist in clean-up activities of work area on an as-needed basis.

Due to the nature of the grape processing season, drivers must have the emotional and physical endurance necessary to work long hours in various weather conditions. Drivers are required to maintain pleasant communications at all times when dealing with customers and co-workers.

All forklift operators are subject to a random drug and alcohol testing program.

farm tractor drivers (vineyard harvest)

Duties include but are not limited to:
- conducting daily safety and mechanical operational checks of each vineyard tractor operated
- responsible for safe and efficient operation of each tractor operated in a vineyard setting

- the work schedule will vary, day and night over a 24 hour period as it relates to the delivery schedule of the grapes being harvested

- ability to notice and report safety and mechanical concerns during vineyard tractor operation
- must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds

- assist in the clean-up, repair and maintenance of various types of vineyard harvesting machines

Class a cdl truck drivers                  

   

Duties include but are not limited to:
- dropping empty flatbed semi trailers as directed in designated agricultural loading areas
- hooking up flatbed semi trailers loaded with tote bins containing machine picked grapes
- checking to assure load has been properly secured by the harvest crew with used of cargo straps
- delivery of loaded flatbed semi trailers from the agricultural loading area to various local fruit processing facilities
- while at the processing facility: driver must un-strap the tote bins containing grapes, navigate the vehicle through a fruit inspection and scale area, the fruit processing company will

   provide it's own machinery and staff to unload the truck for the driver, the driver will then be responsible for securing the empty tote bins onto the trailer with use of cargo straps, scaling

   the truck out, verifying scale tickets for accuracy and keeping accurate records
- driver will be responsible for pre-trip inspections of all equipment operated

Due to the nature of the harvest season, drivers must have the emotional and physical endurance necessary to work long hours in various weather conditions. Drivers are required to maintain pleasant communications at all times when dealing with customers and co-workers.
All drivers are required by law to be enrolled in a drug and alcohol testing program and have current medical card.
